Webcomics = ?

It’s almost funny watching a well-meaning journalist trying to cover all the different kinds of webcomics out there. Not an easy task these days.

And with luck, it will only get harder.

    Amen to that..

  2. Heather says:

    Webcomics are as easy to describe as a genre as manga or anime–the only thing holding them together is the fact that they are all on the same medium and are comics.

    I’m really excited about webcomics. I’m a big fan of xkcd, and I’m really hoping to read the last chapter of THE RIGHT NUMBER someday…. 🙂

  4. Brian says:

    I am glad that more people are realizing how diverse the medium has become. One day, I hope I can walk into a bookstore and see comics categorized by genre alongside prose books, no longer confined to their “graphic novel” ghetto.

    Also, thank goodness the author didn’t use any onomatopoeia in the title. “BIFF! POW! WEBCOMICS!”

  5. Not a bad article for a primer. It baffles me that anyone could not have even the most basic conception of what “web-comics” are, but as long as more articles like this get written and published, I guess it’s good for us all!

    Do you think that article not good?
    I need more resource for my final exam, my title is “Contribute of Visual Design on Making a Web Comic”. It’s pretty hard to find good source for the basic theory.

    By the way, i’ve bought your book, “Understanding Comic”. That book is awesome. Now im still looking for the rest titles of the trilogy…
