Oh, Wait! Here’s Something Important After All…

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

Next Weekend (December 11-12) is my Comics: Theory and Practice Two-Day Workshop at the Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art.

Due to a site update glitch, the workshop was listed as “Sold Out” for a week. That’s actually wrong. It’s ALMOST sold out, but if you’d still like to participate, there are just a few seats left. Sorry for the confusion.

In two very full days, it’ll be my pleasure to teach you everything I know about making comics. Now’s your last chance to sign up to join us.

Have a great weekend!

Taking a Break…

Since the kids are getting Thanksgiving week off, and I have a lot of catching up to do after my recent health issues (see below), I’ve decided to take a week off from blogging.

Be back at the keyboard on Monday, November 29.

Sick Days…

Lost Tuesday to a hospital visit (kidney stone).

I’ll be fine, but it’s an ongoing thing and I’d like to make up the lost time, so I’ll be giving the blog a rest until Monday in order to get back to the drawing board as much as possible.

Still voted though! Ivy raced over and got me from the hospital to the polls here in So. Cal with only four minutes to spare. I love my wife.

See you Monday!

Sick Day

Enjoying a visit from Mr. Kidney Stone this morning.

A short visit, I hope.

Awww… (+ Taking the Week Off)

I’m off on another fact-finding mission, so I’m taking a week off of blogging, but before I go, I’d like to add my whole family’s congratulations to Neil and Amanda on the official announcement of their engagement (and relief at not having to keep it a secret anymore)!

Real life takes some crazy random turns, but once in a while, fate seems to be paying attention. This one was meant to be.

(And of course, our hazy recollection that Sky introduced Neil to the music of the Dresden Dolls has been upgraded to family legend now that it seems it might have mattered in this ocean of dominoes.)

I Have Nothing to Say Today

So here is a picture of former U.N. General Secretary Boutros Boutros-Ghali:

That is all.
